TUE Melbourne to Adelaide
Depart from Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station aboard The Overland at 8.05am and settle. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as your train makes its way to Adelaide, arriving at 5.55pm. On arrival you will be transferred to your accommodation. Overnight: Mercure Grosvenor Hotel or similar, 3 nights

WED Adelaide
This morning you will be met at your hotel to join your half day Adelaide City Sights tour. You will see stunning St. Peters Cathedral, the famous Adelaide Oval, the Cultural Boulevard, North Terrace, capture the city views from Colonel Lights lookout, visit Haigh’s Chocolate Factory and finally a stop at the seaside suburb of Glenelg. The afternoon will be at your leisure to further explore the city.

THU Panda Insight
Enjoy a guided tour by an Adelaide Zoo Tour Host and enjoy the chance to meet Wang Wang and Funi. Watch the pandas being let out into their day area and enjoy them whilst they explore and seek out the treats that have been left out for them! Receive a souvenir gift, Panda Shop discount voucher and a morning tea voucher.

FRI Murray River (D)
Enjoy the morning at leisure before joining your transfer to the delightful Murray River. On arrival in Mannum, you will board the Murray Princess before settling into your cabin. The Murray Princess will head down river, whilst you enjoy pre-dinner drinks and a Welcome Dinner. As you cruise under floodlight to your overnight mooring at Mundarra, you may see nocturnal wildlife on the riverbank. Overnight: Murray Princess (Inside Cabin), 3 nights

SAT Murray River (BLD)
After a hearty breakfast, join a guided tour of Murray Bridge’s historic landmarks and local attractions. This afternoon the Murray Princess heads upriver, mooring at Craignook overnight, where dinner awaits.

SUN Murray River (BLD)
All ashore for a guided nature walk. A great way to get a little exercise before the Murray Princess departs for the big river gorges and 90 metre cliffs of the upper river. This afternoon enjoy a backwater wildlife tour aboard a small discovery boat. The birdlife is amazing. Late afternoon, photography enthusiasts have a great opportunity to capture a spectacular river sunset, before joining the Captain and Officers for pre-dinner drinks and the Captain’s Dinner and Dance.

MON Barossa Valley (BL)
Following breakfast, the Murray Princess arrives at Mannum where you disembark and meet the coach for your full day Barossa Valley tour. Discover Australia’s richest and best known wine making region. You will visit three premium wineries, lunch and free time in Tanunda before returning directly to Adelaide. Overnight: Mercure Grosvenor Hotel or similar

TUE Indian Pacific (LD)
Enjoy the last couple of hours in Adelaide City prior to being transferred to the Adelaide Parklands Terminal to check in for 10am departure. Step aboard the Mighty Indian Pacific and enjoy the style and comfort of this great train. Overnight Indian Pacific

WED Sydney (B)
Arrive into Sydney at 10.15am and make your way to your accommodation. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Overnight: Renezvous Studiol Sydney or similar, 2 nights

THU Sydney
This morning you will be collected for your Sydney Sights full day tour. Highlights will include the historic Rocks area, Paddington, see the Opera House, Parliament House & the Royal Botanic Gardens, Bondi and Manly.

OPTIONAL TOUR: Sunset Dinner Cruise, including two course dinner and drinks (1.5 hours) $89 per person

FRI Sydney to Melbourne
This morning you will depart Sydney at 7.42am onboard the XPT, enjoy the countryside from your First Class Seat, before arriving home to Melbourne this evening at 6.56pm.
